CLASSIFICATION
There are millions of different types of organisms on this earth. It is not possible to study about the organisms individually. Instead, we look for similarities among the organisms, which will allow us to put them in different classes and then study different classes or groups as a whole. This method of arranging organisms into groups or sets on the basis of similarities and differences is called classification.
Classification is the arrangement of organisms into groups on the basis of their affinities or relationships. It involves the placing of a kind of organisms or a group of different kinds of organisms in particular categories depending upon the system of classification but in conformity with nomenclature system.
